Flock is a 3D team-player game for theatre performance or as a stand alone installation.

Five players volunteering from the audience are going on a mission to collaborate closely and to navigate the flock through an ever-changing atmospheric landscape with its obstacles and typical items. The production team has build a special game-interface in which the whole body of the players is involved to get the flock through the levels of the world.
This means hard work for the players, who will be rewarded for their good teamwork by gaining speed, a growing flock and a more intensifying soundtrack. The game is played in front of an audience for whom the virtual, projected images combined with the physical movement of the players becomes a performance that is captivating to watch and inviting to join.

Development This project was a colaboration between DansLab - Amsterdam and students at the department Design for Virtual Theatre & Games at the Utrecht school of the Arts. Parts of the design and all programming was done by Xform.
